Founder & Creative Director, Jodee Stevens started Cardthartic in Chicago in 1993, early-on embracing the concept of out-sourcing every conceivable area of operations. Once carefully selected affiliates were in place and adding value to their respective areas of the business, Jodee was free to move hers. Believing that the creative end of any business is surely best conducted overlooking an ocean, in 1997 she moved the Cardthartic Creative Studio to Miami Beach.
Managing Partner Robb Anderson keeps Cardthartic as a whole humming. Just months after the company was founded, he joined Jodee to oversee sales and distribution—which he does to this day. Robb created a network of what must be the best independent reps around, and is still the one who gives and takes counsel from them. Like his business partner, Robb believes he just works better under sparkling blue skies, and so in 1999 moved Cardthartic's Operating Office from Chicago to Scottsdale.
